Richard Whitney Allen was born in Greenville, South Carolina, and moved to Laurens in 2010. He is a 2004 graduate of the University of South Carolina Spartanburg with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a 2007 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law. He spent two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Larry R. Patterson and the Honorable Robin B. Stilwell before entering private practice, where he has represented clients in Family Court, Civil Court, Criminal Court, Probate Court, and Magistrate Court on a variety of legal issues.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Allen serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Sandy Springs Volunteer Fire Rescue Unit in Laurens, South Carolina and was recently appointed as a Local Board Member for the United States Selective Service System. He also serves as a Deacon of Lanford Baptist Church, where he and his wife attend with their daughter.

Jessica Meece Hillyard is a life-long resident of Laurens County, South Carolina. She is a 2014 Graduate of Greenville Technical College where she earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science with a major in Paralegal Studies. In July of 2015, Jessica successfully completed the Certified Paralegal examination, which is a national certification. She is among the 244 paralegals in the state of South Carolina who have attained this goal. She is intimately involved in all of our cases and works diligently to assist the firm’s clients.
Jessica is actively involved in many areas of Rabun Creek Baptist Church, where she attends with her husband and two daughters.
